Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using hackATS (the “Service”) you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

hackATS lets you store a master resume, submit job descriptions, and generate tailored, ATS-oriented resumes and PDFs. Generating tailored resumes relies on third-party LLM providers to process your resume and job description text.

3. User responsibilities

• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your resume.
• No fabrication. Resumes must be truthful. You agree not to use the Service to create false, misleading, or fabricated employment history, credentials, or qualifications.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to access it in an unauthorized manner, submitting unlawful content, infringing others’ rights, or interfering with the Service’s operation or security.

5. Payments, billing & refunds

• Paid features may be offered as subscriptions and/or one-time purchases (e.g. credits). Payments are processed by Stripe. hackATS is the seller of record: you are buying from us, and Stripe only processes the payment. Prices are shown and charged in USD, and are adjusted for your region. Unless stated otherwise at checkout, prices do not include any sales tax, VAT, or GST that may apply where you live; where we are required to collect such tax, it will be shown before you pay.
• Existing subscriptions. Subscriptions started before our move to Stripe are billed through Dodo Payments as merchant of record and continue on those terms until they end. To cancel or change one, contact support and we will do it for you.
• Subscriptions. If offered, subscriptions auto-renew for successive billing periods until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from Manage billing on your Plans & credits page, or by contacting support; access continues until the end of the current paid period. On a failed payment we may suspend access to paid features until payment succeeds.
• Credits / one-time purchases. If offered, credits are non-transferable and tied to your account. Any expiry or usage limits will be shown clearly before purchase.
• Refunds. Tailored resumes are digital goods generated on demand. Except where required by law, credits or generated digital outputs that have already been used are non-refundable. Contact support about billing errors or unused purchases; eligibility is assessed case by case.

Current pricing is published on our pricing page and may change from time to time; pricing is not part of these Terms.

6. Disclaimer

The Service optimizes resume formatting and keyword alignment for applicant tracking systems, but we do not guarantee interviews, job offers, or any particular outcome. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, hackATS and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the Service unlawfully.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the entity operating the Service, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
